Karista Hannah is the founder of Design Theory and focuses on new construction and commercial projects. With experience ranging from traditional to modern, her 20 plus years of experience in the industry puts her clients at ease during the decision making process of building a home.
Design Theory was established in 2011 and gained rapid recognition. In 2017, the company opened its first retail location in Norton Commons. By 2020, they doubled their space with a new storefront offering custom upholstery and merchandise.
The firm has earned "Favorite Interior Designer" honors at Homearama six times (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022). Projects have been featured in Louisville media including Tops, The Voice Tribune, and Courier Journal.
The company philosophy emphasizes "a professional but carefree experience" tailored to each client's unique needs, fostering lasting relationships.
Outside work, Karista enjoys time with her husband Josh (married 18 years), sons Ashur and Ellis, pet Pomibear Lola, golf, travel, and family gatherings.
